Author's POV:

"You all did an amazing job. We wish you all a great future ahead, " the hall filled with applauds.

Today is the last day of the internship at Verma Industries. Saanvi and everyone is gathered at a restaurant for the last day dinner from the company.

These 2 months taught them a lot of things. Although only 3 of them could get guidance from Nikhil,

These 2 months taught Saanvi what being loved and taken care of meant. She was the happiest these days.

The time she spent with Nikhil was like a dream for her. She found her solace in him.

In Bhavika, she found an elder sister she never had.

Saurabh, like an elder brother, always stood by her and guided her.

They gave her what she never had. With them, she understood what a family and family's love means.

Saanvi's eyes found Nikhil's. He blinked his eyes, and she smiled, shaking her head. He just scratched his neck to hide his smile.

Soon, everyone shifted to grab the dinner. All variety of food was available.

Verma Industries takes care of everyone as their own, so they made sure there was jain, veg, and non veg food as per everyone's convenience.

Saanvi was indulged in savouring her favourite paneer tikka when two employees came to talk to her.

Nikhil's eyes never left her. He was noticing every move of her.

"Stop staring at her like that," Saurabh smacked Nikhil's head.

"I'm just looking bhai," he shrugged.

"Yeah, yeah. But don't forget where you are. You know na what will happen if someone finds out about you two?" He reminded him.

He sighed, "I know, bhai."

Meanwhile,

"Saanvi, you did a really good job," Yug commented.

"Yeah, Saanvi, your work is just so good. I'm a fan of yours, " Prem said.

"Thank you guys," she said with a smile.

"So what are your plans after this?"

"I'm not really sure, actually," which she really is not.

"Are you free this Saturday?" Prem asked, making her frown.

"Yeah, why?"

"Um, there is this new cafe. Would you like to go?" he asked

"Of please. Saanvi, I know a really good restaurant with amazing food. We should go there sometime, " Yug said

By now, everyone knows Saanvi lives for food. It is her weakness.

So these two boys are trying out their luck.

But her mind goes back to the day when she visited dhaba with Nikhil and all the shared meals with him.

She looked around for him to find him already looking at her..... with an annoyed expression.

Is he jealous?

Damn he is cause he heard the boys.

His eyes were blazing fire, as if challenging her to say.

God, he looks so cute right now.

She shook her head at him. He pouted but then realised where he was, so he composed his expression.

It was around 10.30, when everyone left the restaurant and bid the farewell.

A drunked Saanvi yawned. "I'm so tired." she kept her head on Saurabh's shoulder,

"Don't worry, we are going home now, hmm?" he patted her hair lovingly.

"Where is he, bhai? What's taking so long? " she whined.

Just then, a car rolled up at the entrance. "Ye lo aa gaya."

Saurabh helped her into the backseat. She glared at Nikhil and sat with a huff, folding her arms.

Both the brothers chuckled at her.

During the ride, Saanvi laid down and fell asleep.

When they reached home, Nikhil carried her to their room.

He made her lay on the bed, removed her heels, and wiped her makeup with the micellar water. He also removed her jewellery.

He then changed himself and went to the living room to find Saruabh feeding ice cream with cookies to Bhavika.

"Did she wake up?" Bhavika asked.

"Kumbhkaran ki behen h vo bhabhi. Earthquake ya tsunami bhi aa jaye to na uthe vo ladki" they all laughed.

"Aye, don't say like this about my sister," Saruabh scolded.

Bhavika just rolled her eyes. "When is her convocation?"

"I don't know, maybe the next month or something?" He shrugged.

"Kaise boyfriend ho tum Nikhil, itna bhi nhi pta offo" she gritted her teeth.

Boyfriend..? His eyes widened, and cheeks turned red.

They were close, but we're they ready to name their relationship? No. Not yet.

"Pregnancy hormones," saurabh mouthed from the back.

"I guess you should sleep, bhabi, take proper rest, hmm?" he kissed her temple.

"Aye, that's my line," she pouted.

Saurabh kissed her pout and fed her another bite. Nikhil went back to his room, giving them privacy.

He looked at his bed, and Saanvi was sleeping like a baby. A pout on her face.

Turning off the lights, he slid into the sheets beside her.

As if on cue, she cuddled into him.

Even if she was asleep, somehow her heart recognised him. It can recognise him anywhere.

The next morning, Saanvi woke up with a headache. She looked around, and she was all alone.

She did her morning business and changed into a new set of clothes.

Today, she had no work, her internship had already ended, and there was still time for the college to open.

She took her laptop and went to the dining area where they all were having breakfast.

"Good morning, guys," she greeted.

"Good morning, come the chef prepared your favourite"

"Omg dhokla," she grinned.

She dug into food like crazy,y and everyone just laughed.

Later that day, when everyone left for their respective work, Saanvi had nothing to do and decided to go out for a walk.

While she was walking, her instincts rose up. She looked around. She felt that someone was watching her.

Although this area was highly secured, she still she couldn't shame off the feeling.

Instead of going ahead, she turned back and went in the direction of Verma Mansion. 

She didn't dare look at the back, but through a glass, she saw a masked man lurking behind the bushes, which made her alert.

Without wasting anytime, she ran to the home.

Seeing her running like this, the security became alert.

"What happened, ma'am?" The chief security guard who came for inspection asked.

"Some....someone wa..was following me," she said between breaths.

He signalled to the other guards, and they ran out to look around.

Meanwhile, he made her sit on the chair and gave her water.

"Sir, there is no one. We looked around thoroughly," one guard said.

"Look at all the CCTV's nearby," the chief security instructed.

"Ma'am, don't worry, we'll find out who it was." she nodded. "If you want to go out, please take one of the guards with you."

She muttered a small thanks and went inside.

But she couldn't shake off that feeling.

She would be lying if she said if she didn't scare her.

'No, Saanu, you're just overthinking. It was no one. Nikh h na vo sab dekh lenge. Ab bas exams pe focus kar' she said to herself and started studying for the final exams which start the next week.

Totally unaware of the danger that is still lurking behind the bushes, looking at the entrance.

"Saanvi Mehta," he whispered with an evil grin. "Don't get scared of me, baby. Darne ke loye to puri zindagi bachi hai"

His laugh was anything but normal.

A big storm was coming their way to change their lives completely.
