Author’s POV :

Arohi's exams finished and as she told her father, she came to Udaipur to spend her semester break with her family. She rang the bell and waited for her mother to open the door.

"Who is..... Arohi" Veena got shocked and emotional seeing her daughter standing at the doorstep. She immediately took her in her embrace.

"Aru di" excited Nikhil rushed to hug his sister.

"Aah finally you are here" said Indrajeet from behind.

"Why didn't you tell me earlier huh. I would've prepared your favourite food. And don't you eat at the hostel, see you look so thin"

"Mom I wanted to surprise you and whatever you make is always delicious. I'll go and get fresh up" Arohi said while sitting with her family.

"Tomorrow we all are going to Udaipur for the Mahesh sons's wedding" said Triloknath during dinner. To which everyone nodded and Ashika became excited. " And I was thinking how about we go and visit the schools and hospitals once"

"That would be great dad. I will tell my PA to inform them. And yeah I have done all the necessary arrangements and also I have asked the staff to clean the Haveli (villa)" said Suket.

Abhishek was not there during the dinner, but he was told about his cousin's wedding in Udaipur earlier only. He didn't want to go because he had his meetings lined up, but one order from Triloknath was enough for him to reschedule his meetings.

No one in the family goes against Triloknath Mehra. He is most respected man in the house. He is known for his values and he is a man of his word. If Abhishek is his soul then Ashika is his heart. In fact he loves Ashika more, because she is the only daughter in their family and she is the youngest. He loves his family. For him, all the family members are equal.

The origin of Mehra's is from Udaipur. Triloknath expanded the business, then he handed over the business to his son Suket. Now Abhishek is the CEO of their company. He has expanded the business all over the world and is a very reputed businessman.

Triloknath wants Abhishek to marry a girl from their Udaipur. Bhavna is also from Udaipur so he wishes Abhishek's wife to be from there only. Abhishek is aware of his grandfather's wish.

It was 8 AM when everyone was ready to leave for Udaipur in their private jet. Abhishek made all the needful arrangements for his family's needs. He don't want his family to have any sort of discomfort.

"Oh god bhai how much time do you take to get ready"

“Shut up Ashu. I am ready let's go" Abhishek said while smacking Ashika's head to which she frowned and everyone laughed.

He is an arrogant businessman for the outer world but for his mother he is just a little kid. He loves his mother dearly.

The Mehra's attended the wedding, then on the 3rd day they decided to visit the school.

"Welcome sir" the school principal greeted the Mehra men.

"Meet our faculty. This is Rajendra, this is Rudransh, and you know Indrajeet" Triloknath and Suket greeted them while Abhishek was busy in his office messages.

"Abhi focus here son" Suket scolded.

"Indrajeet will give assist you Mr. Mehra, sorry I have to go urgently to the hospital" principa apologized and left.

"Sir here" Indrajeet said

They all had a tour of the school. Triloknath asked all the necessary details and if there is something which school needs. Abhishek was taking down points which he felt necessary.

The tour was over and Mehra's were sitting in the principal's cabin. They were served with the refreshments.

"So Indrajeet ji how is everything?" Suket asked sipping his tea.

"Everything is great sir. The exam are starting soon so everyone is busy preparing question papers"

"Ooh that's good. So um dad shall we leave?" Triloknath nodded and they all stood up.

"Bade Sahab if you don't mind. I would like to invite you all to my house for lunch tomorrow"

"That's not necessary Indrajeet ji" Suket said

"It would be my pleasure to have you in my home sir"

"Ok we will come tomorrow" Triloknath announced.

Then they l left from there. At night Triloknath informed his family about the visit of Mehra's.

Arohi got up early to help her mother in kitchen and in decorating their house.

Indrajeet has a two storey house in Udaipur with 4 bedrooms, a small mandir (temple), a garden where they grow fresh fruits and vegetables, and a big terrace. Their house is not very big but it is very cozy and beautiful. One can get a homely feeling there. Veena has decorated the house in such a way that depicts their culture.

"They have reached. Let's go greet them" Arohi heard her father saying. She filled the glasses with water and placed the refreshments properly in plates.

On the other hand Abhishek and his family got out of their car and met with Indrajeet and his family. Everyone was entered inside the house.

"Wow uncle aunty your house is so beautiful. I also want such house" Ashika said while looking around. She liked their house very much.

"Yes, I agree Indrajeet your house is very beautiful" said Triloknath praising the house.

"It's all your grace and blessings Bade Sahab. Meet my wife Veena and my son Nikhil" said Indrajeet. Nikhil took blessings from everyone and hi-fived with Ashika. Abhishek just gave him a smile.

"And this is my elder daughter Arohi" Arohi entered the hall with glasses of water. She served everyone water with a warm smile.

"Your look beautiful in this outfit didi. She's looking stunning isn't she bhai" said Ashika while taking the glass.

He stared at a girl clad in a light pink kurti and pant with printed dupatta resting on one side of her shoulder. Her face devoid of any makeup

"Thank you so much little one. What's your name by the way?" Arohi said with a warm smile.

"Ashika" she smiled at her and her eyes in met with Abhishek's beautiful brown-orbs and served water to rest of them.

"May god bless you beta" said Triloknath when Arohi touched his feet.

"Where do you study Arohi?" asked Suket.

"I am pursuing Fashion designing in Mumbai uncle. My exams just ended so I came here to visit my parents" replied Arohi with a smile.

"That's great beta" Bhavna was impressed by her choice of career. She herself is an interior designer.

Well of course one designer likes another designer. It's a fact!

Arohi and Veena served some refreshments. And they all indulged in talks.

Meanwhile Abhishek was busy with his work. He just listened to them while going through the documents.

Arohi and Veena heated the food  and served it on the table.

"Bade Sahab the lunch is ready. Please come" Indrajeet said and everyone sat on the dining table.

All the while Arohi was helping her mother in serving food to everyone. Bhavna was looking at Arohi's every move closely.

Triloknath was also observing everything. The way Arohi was taking care of everything and making sure that her mother isn't doing everything alone. He was very much impressed by her care towards her family.

On the other hand, Abhishek was enjoying the food. He liked the simplicity in the food. Abhishek is not so fond of eating food from restaurants. He likes simple homemade food. Or we can say, he likes food whatever is made in home.

"The food is very yummy aunty" said Ashika while digging into the food.

"Yes, the food is very good. Especially this Palak Paneer. It's very delicious" Abhishek said. He truly liked it.

"The Palak Paneer is prepared by Arohi. She is a really good cook" Abhishek was stunned by the information. He suddenly looked at Arohi who had a beautiful smile on her face. He wasn't expecting Arohi to be such a good cook.

"Yeah she can make edible food now. Earlier it was worse than worst" Nikhil commented making everyone laugh. Arohi glared at her brother.

"No but I must say the whole food is very good" Suket said with a smile.

"Yes my wife is a great cook" Indrajeet said

Arohi was looking if anyone wants anything and her eyes met with Abhishek, who was already looking at her. They both were looking into each other's eyes and looked here n there breaking the eye contact. Triloknath saw the scene. The old man chuckled and had his food thing about.........
