PART 6

Happy Reading!

Arohi's eyes widened hearing Abhishek's words. She never thought that he would say things like that, she was flabbergasted. She was controlling her anger, but he was provoking her to do something that both of them would regret.

"If you think that I am going to give you the right of being my wife and  sleep-" his words were cut in between as she decided to say

"Oh please" she let out a chuckle "If you think that everyone is just dying to sleep with you then you are wrong Mr. Mehra. I am least interested in sleeping with you ok" she said sarcastically.

"So now you've got a tongue huh" he spoke angrily

"So what you think that only you can talk? I am not mute Mr. Mehra" she said with an obvious look.

"Don't you dare back retort me back. I was right a girl like you doesn't deserve to be my wife" he said glaring at her

"Oh and I was never interested in being your wife Mr." she said instantly

Abhishek was furious. He never thought that a this girl who is his 'wife' will ever answer him, but he should have known better. His eyes and ears turned red due to anger.

"You know what. Let me show you your room" he said and before he could hold her hand, she gave him the action to lead the way.

He took her to a dusty room as if it hasn't been cleaned from ages. She spotted her luggage and a small bed with a mattress, pillow and a duvet. Arohi's nose scrunched up seeing the dust.

Looking at her expression Abhishek was not able to understand if she was happy or sad or what? Removing his thoughts he said "Liked your room wifey?" with a smirk he added "This is the best I could give you. Well as a husband I am giving you this much. So enjoy your stay in Abhishek Mehra's house. You are free to do whatever the fuck you want. But remember you carry my name now" saying he started going back when Arohi stopped him

She started removing her jewelries, one-by-one handing everything to him, making him all shocked. Keeping only the nuptial chain around her neck.

"Do you want me the dress as well?" she said looking straight into his eyes.

"Keep this outfit as a gift or yeah you are a designer na so use it anyway you want. And yeah I am not going to touch this disgusting body of yours, so don't even try to get these ideas. Just stay the hell away from me" he said with a smirk

"Fine then you can leave. Good night to you too" she said and turned to take out clothes from her luggage.

Abhishek left the room slamming the door shut.

As soon as the door closed tears started flowing in her eyes. She never in her dreams expected this behaviour from him. She never thought that he would abuse her verbally. She was feeling a mixed emotion of rage and disrespect.

Wiping the tears, she changed into a shirt and pant. She needed to think about something else, and she already got the most important task in hand- to clean the room. She went downstairs to get a broom and mob to clean the room. She looked around, everything was unknown to her and of course she can't ask her husband, so she decided to find it on her own. When she finally found it, she went upstairs.

She first broomed the dust and then cleaned everything, all the while cursing Abhishek. After around 2 hour and 2-3 rounds of cleaning, she was finally done and satisfied with the room. Then she took a bath because she was sweating and was all dirty with the dirt.

She was too tired with the wedding, then travelling, then her husband and his nonsense talk, and then cleaning the room. She laid down with a sigh. She looked around the room, no one could imagine that this was the same dirty room. She actually changed the look of the room completely, She patted her back.

"In this whole house at least this room is mine" said her conscience.

She didn't realize when sleep engulfed her.

..

In Abhishek's room,

Abhishek was still shocked with her behavior and curt replies. He was happy to show her her place, despite how it turned, but he was happy. Yet there was this feeling of unease in him but he shrugged it off and chucked the alcohol down standing near the window.

After sometimes he went back to bed and slept ignoring all his thoughts.

----------------------------------------------------------

Next morning,

Arohi woke up yawning, feeling hungry. She didn't have anything properly last night, due to anxiety. Now she is feeling helluva hungry.

The happenings of last night flashed in front of her eyes. His words ringing in her ears. She took out a simple salwar suit and went to the washroom. She turned the knob of the shower and stood below the cold water for sometime. She just wanted to clear her head and prepare herself for another encounter.

She dried her wet hairs and combed neatly. She put vermillion on her hairline and adjusted her nuptial chain.

Taking a long breath she walked downstairs.

He's not caging me. He just doesn't like me nor I like him.

She entered the kitchen and found a women around in her 50s was present there and talking to some other girls, maybe staff.

She saw her and stopped immediately. Arohi suddenly felt self conscious.

"Good Morning Mrs. Mehra" she gave a sweet smile.

Mrs. Mehra. The chills she felt hearing this were inhuman.

"Good morning" she replied with a small smile.

"I'm Mrs. Annie Dorcas, cook of the house and these are my helpers to clean and look after other works of the house" she informed her in a polite way

"Oh!" she exclaimed and replied politely.

"You are as beautiful as Bhavna ma'am described. A perfect match for Abhishek sir" she complimented

Arohi felt her cheeks heated, she blushed a little.

"Please call me Arohi, you are elder than me" she said

"How can I? I mean it would be inappropriate" she replied, getting worried.

"Please I insist" Mrs. Annie nodded to her and resumed her work.

"Abhishek sir wants his breakfast sharp at 8 AM. It was already 7.50, he would be downstairs anytime"

"Let me help you" Arohi said, looking around what she was cooking.

"No, you're my boss' wife, you should enjoy and rest. I am here to cook for you. Tell me if you need anything" she said

"No. But at least let me make some coffee, and now I won't listen to you" Arohi said playfully, to which both laughed.

She liked Mrs. Annie. She is a humble lady.

After a few minutes, the breakfast was ready. Mrs. Annie set the table while Arohi poured coffee into two mugs.

She heard him coming, he was wearing one of his expensive Armani suit, black in color, with white shirt inside, well fitted and nicely tucked. His hairs gelled perfectly, the expensive watch shine while his shoes made sound when he walked.

Opening his coat, he hanged it on the chair and sat down, Mrs. Annie was serving him the breakfast. She was waiting for Arohi to bring his coffee.

Arohi came out with 2 mugs in her hand. Her anklets and bangles jingling, making a soothing tune. He turned to see the source and forgot to breathe seeing Arohi coming towards him, all clad in red salwar suit. The vermillion on hairline and nuptial chain around her neck, were  making her breathtaking.

She handed him the mug and sat opposite to him. Avoiding any eye contact.

Mrs. Annie was serving her but she politely said that she will take it herself.

Abhishek silently ate his toast and fruits. He took a sip of hot and strong coffee. He stopped for a second, it wasn't his usual coffee. But he liked it.

"Did he like the coffee?" Arohi thought.

"Sir you need anything?" Mrs. Annie asked as she saw Abhishek stopping in between.

"No. Coffee is good today" he said with a smile.  Arohi smiled a little. He complimented her, not directly but still.

He was not an ungrateful person. He knew how and when to praise hard work. He liked when someone did their work perfectly and with dedication.

"At least he likes something" Arohi thought and rolled her eyes.

"Mrs. Mehra made this coffee today" Mrs. Annie replied, looking towards Arohi whose smile had now disappeared.

He stared Arohi, who was now looking at him timidly.  She gulped her coffee and looked down at her place, playing with her food.

"You go and look after other chores" he dismissed Mrs. Annie and she went to take care of other works.

"You know Arohi you don't have to do all this" he said pointing his finger towards the coffee. "I told you to stay away from me didn't I? Then why did you make this coffee" he added

"I was making coffee for myself, so I made one for you too" she shrugged and started eating her breakfast.

"Ohh but what is with this get up huh? No one here to see you façade, and trust me I am not interested in you façade" he said eating his salad.

"I am not doing any drama. And I didn't make this coffee for you, I was just helping Mrs. Annie. So please Mr. Mehra don't feel so happy. Anyways I don't care what you think" she said without looking at him.

"Oh! If you wanted to help Mrs. Annie then why didn't you wake earlier and did all my chores? You are my wife now and you should take care of your husband, so why should Mrs. Annie do all my chores huh" he mocked her.

"I am your wife, not your slave" she spat looking up at him.

"Surely you aren't" he said getting up from the chair and walking towards her "But the way you are dressed so nicely, wearing this red dress and married symbols"

He leaned at the table and said "From tomorrow onwards you are going to do all the things that a wife should do for her husband"

"And I thought you didn't accept me and asked me to stay away from you" she said getting up. She picked up their plates and mugs and went to the kitchen, without glancing him.

He glared her, took his essentials and left for his work. He was pissed at her behavior. No one ever dared to behave like this with him. She was getting on his nerves.

Well the work he gave her wasn't much bothering. Even if he didn't ask her, then also she would have cleaned the house. She hates things dirty or placed here n there. It was not a punishment for her anyways, it was her habit. The rest things obviously comes under basic etiquette. She doesn't have any problem in doing his work, but she expects him to at least respect her. Which is "impossible" said her conscience. But she didn't care about it.
