The next day...

Abhishek and Arohi came back to their penthouse late at night.

Arohi was in her college sitting with Sameer. They were discussing some project they had.

"Aru where is Riti?" Sameer asked.

"Even I was going to ask you the same" Arohi said.

"She has been behaving weird since the event" she hummed to him.

Arohi tried calling but she didn't pick up. She rubbed her temple.

"What happened to you?" Sameer asked her to see her all tired.

"Nothing" she said but he glared at her. She sighed and said "Actually yesterday when we were in Mehra Mansion I saw something."

Flashback:

When Arohi came out of the washroom, she took her saree and rushed inside because of Abhishek. In haste she took an envelope which was for him.

She looked at it, she didn't want to open it but her curiosity won.

She opened the envelope with many pictures of Abhishek being very close with different girls. She saw every picture, some girls were clinging on him, sitting on his lap, and in some they were even kissing. 

In one picture she could see him wearing an engagement ring, that picture must be after their marriage. A girl was sitting on his lap way too close to him. 

 Arohi was shocked seeing the images, she had tears in her eyes. She knew he didn't want this marriage or that he had girls before their marriage, but after their marriage..

Some tears fell from her eyes. She took a deep breath and went outside after wearing her saree.

Flashback Ends:

Arohi had tears in her eyes while telling this to Sameer. He felt extreme rage for Abhishek and pity for his best friend.

"I don't want or expect anything from him, but at least I expected him to be loyal to me and this marriage" she said as a tear escaped from her eye.

"Heyy" Sameer stood up and hugged her. He rubbed her back and hair to stop her from crying. "I'm so sorry Aru. Don't worry you have me and Riti right. We're always with you baby girl"

She nodded and then broke the hug. He gave her his handkerchief to wipe her tears and kissed her hair.

"Let's go it's time for class" she announced.

Sameer wanted her to let out her pain but he knew that she wouldn't do that. She is very good at keeping feelings and insecurities to herself. He nodded and they both went away.

In the Mehra Office...

Abhishek was sitting in his cabin doing his work. His thoughts were again and again going back to Arohi. He tried to be nice with her but she gave him a cold shoulder.

No one, like no one ever dared to ignore him or disobey him. But here his own wife has been ignoring him for the past 27 hours. He is feeling too frustrated.

"What happened suddenly is that she is behaving like this" he said to himself.

His chain of thoughts broke when someone barged into his cabin. He sighed knowing who has the audacity to break into his cabin like this.

"What do you want?" He asked irritated.

"Hello to you too my dear friend" his friend came and sat on the sofa.

"Why are you here Varun?"

"Oh common buddy, I came here to meet you" saying he rolled his eyes.

"Anyways how is beautiful Arohi?" He asked with a smirk.

Abhishek raised his eyebrow at him. "Call her that again and I'll break your mouth"

"Are we being possessive huh Abhi?" Varun asked laughing to which he just got a glare from Abhishek.

"Okay okay. Tell me how she is?"

"Why do you want to know about her?" Abhishek asked with a raised brow. Varun just shrugged.

"Anyways how's everything going"

"Everything is good.." and the two friends talked and then Varun left for his work.

Abhishek also indulged in his work, this time without thinking about anything but work.

Arohi left her class when her phone pinged with a text from Ritika.

Riti👻 - Stuck with something. Will call you later. XOXO

She read and sighed. At least she's okay, she thought.

She went to the bus stop and took a bus for home. She plugged in her earphone and started listening songs.

She reached home and then relaxed a bit. Mrs. Annie bought her water and some light snack.

"What happened Aru, you look so tired" Mrs. Annie asked lovingly.

"Lectures were tooo boring and tiring" she said with a pout.

Mrs. Annie laughed looking at her. She's just like a daughter to her. She stood at the back of sofe and started massaging her head. Arohi relaxed with her massage and slept.

It was time for Mrs. Annie and other butler to leave. They didn't want to disturb her sleep so they went without making any noise.

Abhishek came after an hour. He entered his penthouse and saw everyone leaving quitely.

He was about to say but then Mrs. Annie said "Mr. Mehra, Aru is sleeping on the couch. She is looking very tired and weak"

Abhishek frowned listening to her. He just nodded and everyone left. He went towards the couch and saw her sleeping with a little frown.

"It's weird. She never sleeps with a frown" he thought.

He touched her forehead to check if she has fever. He thought maybe she's tired that's why she's having a frown. He shrugged it off and went to his room to change.

He came back after 40 minutes to see her still sleeping. It's weird because in all these months he knows she never sleeps this much.

He saw her phone vibrating on the table. He checked the caller ID and got irritated Sameer🎃

Her phone again went off with his call. He thought it might be important so he picked it.

"He.." he was about to say when Sameer cut him off.

"Aru are you okay? Why the hell didn't you tell me before leaving for home" he said actually scolded her "You were all gloomy today, please take rest and don't think much about what you saw. Call me if you need anything I'll be there for you"

"I'll take care if she needs anything. You don't have to worry about 'my wife'" Abhishek said stressing on the word 'my wife'.

"Mr. Mehra I'm sorry but your wife is my best friend and not to forget that you're the reason for her problems" he said and hung up the call.

Abhishek was furious at his behaviour. Like how he called her Aru, how he told her to call if she needs something. But he focused on how he said that he's the reason of her problem.

He looked at her and saw a tear slipping down her closed eyes. He got worried as to what happened that she's crying even while sleeping.

He lay down next to her and pulled her in his embrace and wiped her tear with his hand while caressing her hairs. As if she understood it's him, her frown relaxed and she snuggled in his embrace.

Abhishek was stunned for a moment. But then he saw her hugging her teddy so he chucked it off and laid comfortabely with her and slept.
