"Saanvi" I called her name thrice yet she is not responding.
"Saanviiiiiiiiiii" I again called her
"Stop shouting" she finally opened her door.
She looks hot in that black parallel jeans with black tank top. Along with the blue shirt she tucked in.
"Wait! Is that my shirt" I raised a brow at her.
"You didn't let me pack my clothes and you only said that I can take anything I want" she glared at me.
Which is true. I had given her really little time so she wasn't able to pack her clothes properly.
"Okay whatever. Now let's go" She nodded like a kid and held my hand. We left the hotel to explore the city.
Oh wait I forgot to tell you guys. So Saanvi and I have come to Munnar for our little trip.
I wanted to take her somewhere she can enjoy and feel at peace. So munnar felt the right place to me. It is also known as "Kashmir of South".
Munnar is filled with Virgin forests, savannah, rolling hills, scenic valleys, numerous streams, huge splashy waterfalls, sprawling tea plantations and winding walkways, making it a perfect place for great holiday experience.
Looking at her, all the worries vanish from my mind. She looks happy here, as if this place is giving her the peace and escape she wanted.
Why not, this place is indeed so beautiful.
"I'm hungry, let's have something first" she nodded and we went to a nearby restaurant.
We ordered Putty and Kadala curry with some fresh brewed tea.
"Where are we going today?" She asked with excitement.
"You look beautiful when you smile like that" she was taken aback by my compliment. Her cheeks turning red instantly.
"Th..thank you" she tucked a hair strand making me chuckle.
We are in silence after that. But the silence wasn't the awkward one but a calming one.
"I'll pay" she said when I took out my card.
"No Saa.." she didn't let me complete and gave her card to the waiter with a warm smile.
I frowned. She never smiles at me that way. Okay fine I'm exaggerating but still. Most of the time she ignores me or argues with me.
"Why are you frowning?" She asked with a weird look "You look very ajeeb, which you already are" she rolled her eyes and got up with her sling bag
I sighed. Kitten back with her claws ready to attack me anytime.
We settled in our car and drove off.
"Turn off the AC. See the weather is so pleasant" she pulled her window down.
When the cold air hit her, and instant smile made it's way to her face.
Is she even real? Sometimes she looks way too beautiful to even believe her.
Soon we reached our destination. Kundala Lake.
"Wow it's beautiful" Saanvi looked around
"Indeed it's beautiful " I said looking at her.
Her eyes met mine and I saw something in it. Something I wouldn't want to name. IT was there just for a second before it vanished.
"Bo..boating. let's go for boating" I said cleaning my throat.
"Yeah let's go"
We rented a paddle boat and climbed in. The boat rocked gently as we got in, with the sun shining on the water. Saanvi grabbed the paddle, laughing.
“Just don’t splash me,” I joked.
“Oh, come on! Where’s the fun in that?” she said, smiling.
As she paddled, I watched her enjoy the moment. The green hills around us reflected in the lake. It felt like we were all alone.
“Look at those flowers!” she pointed. “Let’s go closer!”
I moved the boat toward them, enjoying the sweet smell of the flowers and the fresh air
“Isn’t this beautiful?” Saanvi said, her eyes sparkling.
“It really is,” I replied, happy to see her like this.
We paddled further and enjoyed a peaceful silence. I noticed her looking at me.
“What are you thinking?” I asked.
“Just how nice it is to be away from everything,” she said. “Sometimes you forget to enjoy life.”
“True,” I agreed. “It’s good to take a break.”
She smiled at me, and for a moment, it felt special. Then she grinned with mischevious going in her eyes and said, “Let’s race!”
I laughed. “Okay, you’re on!”
We paddled hard, laughing and splashing water. The fun reminded me of the young me who used to be this happy.
She doesn't realise this nor will I agree but... somehow she have the power go bring my old happy self out of the shell I created years ago.
I glance at her. She is laughing and enjoying to he fullest. She looks like a small kid who finally got a chance to be free without any tension. Which I guess is true.
After a while, we slowed down, both tired and smiling.
“Okay, you win,” I said.
“Of course I did!” she said proudly.
As we floated quietly, I felt a sense of peace. This trip to Munnar was just what we needed.
This trip is healing both of us and it really feels good. No tension, no work.
I didn't know I needed a break until this moment. It feels good to be near the nature and away from all the fuss.
