PART 32

Happy Reading!

Nikhil's POV:

I continued looking at her face. It's glowing making her look like a cute doll. Her skin is red due to the cold adding more to her beauty.

I lift my hand and caress her cheek softly making her look at me. We look at each other and I feel, as if the world has stopped here only.

Her lips part and my eyes fall on them. They are full pouty and looks so kissable.

I feel her heartbeat rising just like mine. I look in her eyes and they reflect the same desire as mine.

"Saanvi" I whispered her name.

"Yes?" She bit her lips making me groan.

"Don't do that please" I released her lip with my thumb. She sucked a deep breath and closed her eyes.

I leaned closer "Tell me to stop" I whispered against her lips.

She didn't say anything but attached her cold lips with mine. I groaned and started moving my lips along with hers.

I groaned and started moving my lips along with hers. Her cold lips were soft, trembling slightly, and they fit perfectly against mine. It was like everything around us—the wind, the cliff, the darkness of the night—had faded away, leaving just the two of us suspended in this moment.

My hand that was caressing her cheek slid down, resting on her neck, feeling the rapid pulse beneath my fingers. Her hands gripped my jacket tightly, as if she was holding onto me for dear life. I deepened the kiss, unable to stop myself from pouring all my pent-up emotions into it—the frustration, the longing, the desire I didn’t even realize I had until now.

She tasted faintly of peppermint, and it was intoxicating. Her lips moved in sync with mine, hesitant at first but quickly growing more confident. It was like she was letting down all her walls, just as I had done moments ago.

I broke the kiss reluctantly, needing to catch my breath. Our foreheads touched, and we both stayed still for a moment, our breathing uneven and mingling in the cold night air.

'Saanvi," I said, my voice hoarse with emotion.

Her eyes fluttered open, and I was struck by how beautiful she looked. Her cheeks were flushed, her lips slightly swollen from our kiss, and her eyes held a mixture of vulnerability and something else I couldn’t quite name—something that made my heart ache in the best way.

"What are we doing?" she whispered, her voice shaky.

"I don’t know," I admitted, brushing a thumb across her jawline. "But I don’t want to stop."

Her gaze searched mine, as if trying to find an answer to a question she couldn’t ask. "You’re my boss," she said softly, almost to herself.

"And you’re my intern," I replied, my tone just as quiet. "But right now, I’m not your boss, and you’re not my intern. Right now, it’s just us, Saanvi. Just us."

She let out a shaky breath, her grip on my jacket loosening slightly. "This is going to complicate everything."

"Probably," I said, a small smile tugging at the corner of my lips.

Her eyes softened, and for the first time, I saw a hint of a smile on her lips. "You’re impossible," she said, her voice laced with a mix of exasperation and affection.

"And yet, you’re still here," I countered.

Her laughter was soft and warm, a sound that made something inside me loosen, like the last thread of tension I’d been holding onto for years had finally snapped.

"I told you I'll stay" he smile was soft and the blush was adding more to it.

I leaned down and her breath hitched when I kissed her again.

This time, the kiss wasn’t gentle. It was wild, filled with urgency and unspoken emotions that had been simmering between us for far too long. My hands tangled in her hair, pulling her closer as if I couldn’t get enough of her. Her fingers gripped my jacket tightly, grounding herself as we both lost ourselves in the moment.

The cold wind whipped around us, but I couldn’t feel it anymore. All I felt was her—her warmth, her softness, her every trembling response to my touch. She matched my intensity, her lips moving against mine with equal fervor. It was a dance of passion, raw and unfiltered, like we had been holding back for so long and finally let it all out.

I pulled back just enough for us to catch out breath, my forehead resting against hers then attached our lips again. Our breaths mingled, and I could feel her chest rising and falling rapidly, mirroring my own.

"Saanvi," I said again, my voice barely more than a whisper. It felt like her name had become a prayer, something sacred I couldn’t stop repeating.

She opened her eyes slowly, and the way she looked at me nearly undid me. Her gaze was soft yet fierce, vulnerable yet strong, as though she was fighting the same battle I was.

"We.. we should stop" she said, her voice shaky. But even as she said it, out lips touched and  her hands remained on my chest, her fingers curling into the fabric of my jacket.

"Maybe" I replied, brushing my lips against hers "But it feels good"

She let out a breathless laugh, shaking her head. "You’re crazy and going to drive me crazy too, you know that?"

I smirked, unable to resist teasing her even now. "Is that a bad thing?"

She rolled her eyes but didn’t pull away. Instead, she looked at me with an intensity that made my heart skip a beat. "You’re infuriating," she muttered.

"And yet, you kissed me thrice," I said, my tone lighter, though my heart was pounding in my chest.

Her cheeks turned an even deeper shade of red, and she tried to look away, but I cupped her face gently, forcing her to meet my eyes. "You're blushing kitten"

"No I'm not" she looked away breathing heavily.

"And now you're lying" I whispered near her ear.

I couldn't hold back and kissed her neck. Her hold on my jacket tightened. I started sucking her neck, her sent driving me crazy.

"Nikhil" she moaned my name when I sucked her sweet spot. I groaned and sucked it more harder.

When satisfied I pulled back. Her face is flushed and redder than tomato.

I sat down properly and pulled her closer. My arms wrapped around her shoulder while hers around my tirso. Neither of us said anything, we just sat there in each other's embrace.

I leaned down kissing her temple and she sighed with a smile.

"You're impossible" she muttered slowly.

"So are you Miss. Mehta" she looked up at me with squinted eyes.

"Whatever" saying she looked in the front.

We stayed like that for a while, wrapped up in each other, the world around us fading into the background. For the first time in years, I felt at peace. And for the first time, I allowed myself to believe that maybe, just maybe, I didn’t have to face the world alone anymore.

I leaned in again, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead. "Lets leave now" I murmured against her skin.

She nodded, her arms wrapping around me in a tight embrace. "Hmm" she whispered. "It's getting cold"

And as I held her close, I realized that for the first time in a very long time, I wasn’t afraid of what the future might hold.
